Final Round

Mareeba Motorcycle Club raced the last round for the 2009 Inter-Club Championships on Sunday. 2009 Club Champions will be presented with their trophies along with 'Most Improved' riders in the juinor classes at the end of year break up scheduled for November.
107 riders nominated for the Final Round. The day was almost incident free of accidents with Nathan Bosato #56 coming off is bike through the woops which resulted in one broken rib and a punctured lung. An unfortunate stack on the step up before the woops sees Wade Hunter #23 out for possibly the rest of the season having sustained a broken left shoulder in 3 places.

Round 3 - 24th May, 2009
Mareeba's Final Round saw Jake Wright #425 back on his bike after his stack at the Emerald Round of the Yamaha Queensland MX Championships.
Jake, Husqvarna Junior development rider, came to the second round of the Yamaha Queensland MX Championships hosted by Emerald with every intention to continue his lead moving forward from 2nd position to 1st position in the Junior Lites 2 Stroke Class. In the first round on Saturday Jake hole-shoted into the lead and stayed there for 5 laps then stacked seeing him finish in 3rd place. Sunday wasn't Jakes day either and saw him take a bigger spill after one lap in the first race of the day landing him in hospital with suspected neck injuries. Thankfully Jake was ok which saw him make a speedy recovery to take number one spot on the podium for all of his 3 classes at Mareeba's Final Round the following Sunday.
Jake will be heading down to Tivoli for the Final Round of the Yamaha Queensland MX Championships 4th & 5th July. We wish him and all our other club members who are competing for the Queensland Titles all the very very best.
